With the DL+ 12V 280 Ah battery we built our most compact, and powerful battery yet — ready for long expeditions in your RV, extended ocean voyages in your boat, or plenty of power for your off grid system. Engineered for maximum energy density, this battery has 280 Amp Hours of capacity in a waterproof battery case the size of a single 100 Amp Hour battery. That’s 6X the amount of usable power of a single group 31 AGM battery. Plus, up to 1,000 cold cranking amps of engine starting power, making this battery the ultimate single battery solution for boats, RVs, or any vehicle where you need a house battery that can jump start your engine.
Built out of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) technology and reinforced with a ruggedized marine spec plastic case, this is a battery built to last. With a lifespan of 5,000 charge cycles this battery will last up to 6 times longer than your typical AGM battery – providing exceptional value over time. Storage Capacity
280 Ampere hours (Ah). Dakota Lithium batteries provide consistent power for all 280 Amp hours. DL LiFePO4 batteries have a flat voltage curve, which means they have a steady power output as the battery discharges. The power output will not dramatically drop like similar sized SLA batteries. You get all the juice down to the last drop.
Engine Starting Power
Lithium battery equivalent to 1,000 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of lead acid battery engine starting power. Suitable for automotive and other applications. Marine Outboards: Please refer to your manufacturer recommendations.

Lifecycles (Battery Life Span)
Up to 80% capacity for 4,000 cycles in recommended conditions, 70% capacity at 5,000 recharge cycles. Half-life (50% capacity) of 6,000 - 7,000 re-charge cycles (Typical SLA has 500 cycles). Backed up by an 11 year warranty.
Waterproof Rating
IP 67 waterproof rating achieved through robotic liquid welding of the lid and terminals.
Operation Temperature
Ideal for rugged & harsh environments. Much better than SLA or other lithium batteries. -20°F min, +150°F max optimal operating temps (battery performs well down to -20°F). Internal even-heat technology allows for charging below 32°F. BMS high temp cut off at 167°F / 75°C.
Discharge
200A max continuous, 300A max 10-second pulse, 1,000A max 2-sec CCA pulse. LiFePO4 chemistry has a flat voltage curve, meaning this battery will maintain a voltage of >12V for the full discharge cycle in most applications.
Peak / Continous Charge
Recommend for longest life 70A or less (.5C), Peak charge acceptance 165A max for one minute, 200A max BMS cutoff. Max continuous 135A (1C). 14.4V recommended, 15V max, BMS protection from over charging will cut off at 15V. Included is a free 12V 10 Amp (A) LiFePO4 compatible charger that charges at the recommended 14.4 Volts.
Max Charge / Alternator Size
<200 A standard charge, 300A max charge current for <60 sec. Included is a LiFePO4 compatible charger. A SLA charger may work, but will reduce performance and lifespan of the battery. Even heat technology allows for charging below 32'F. Internal even-heat technology allows for charging below 0°C/32°F

Internal Even-Heat Technology
Increases performance in extreme cold. When charging the battery in temperatures below 0°C/32°F DL's internal heating element will warm the cells to 0°C/32°F. This increases the lifespan, performance, and efficiency of the battery.

All batteries are UN38 certified. Dakota Lithium's cells are UL1642 certified and have been tested per IEC62133 standards. Meets all US and International regulations for air, ground, train, & marine transport.

Max IP65 water resistance rating. Appropriate for marine environments, not submersible.

Charger Included
12V 20A charger included ($299 value). Dakota Lithium 12V batteries should be charged at 14.4 volts, higher than AGM or lead acid. Lead acid chargers will work, but will only charge the battery to 80% of capacity.
